A Phased Outsourcing Approach 
Our client is a global leader in delivery, billing, and settlement of mobile messaging services. The Finance and Accounting (F&A) process in these countries was being maintained on different platforms and was outsourced to various local firms that lacked standard processes. The accounting policies and procedures were non-uniform with consolidation being done outside the accounting system. A highly rigid process, it was difficult to create fresh reports or MIS.
The client turned to Velosys Business Service Optimization to consolidate their F&A process, standardize policies and procedures and improve the turn around time for activities like invoicing and vendor payments. We conducted an analysis of the F&A process which enabled us to understand both the outsourcing imperatives and the business processes. We worked with the client and identified specific processes within F&A that could be outsourced.
